Why it matters

Nearly half of young South Africans who want work cannot find it.

The barrier is rarely ability. It is the cost of applying, a missing certificate, a skill nobody ever taught them, and tools priced for people who already earn.

  • Every application costs data, printing or travel

Our social programmes exist to remove those four barriers, one member at a time.

Four ways we open doors.

Each programme removes a different barrier, and they work together: free access gets someone started, training and a matric make them employable, and Premium puts AI to work on their behalf.

Sponsor a Premium

Anyone can pay for a month or a year of Premium for a job seeker who cannot afford it. Recipients are picked fairly from members actively looking for work, and they stay anonymous.

Matric Completion Fund

A matric certificate opens a door that stays shut without one. We pay the registration and study costs for members who are blocked from jobs by an incomplete matric, and walk with them to the exam.

How it works

From your contribution to someone’s first day.

Nothing disappears into a general fund. Every contribution is tied to a specific thing a specific person needed.

  1. You giveSponsor a Premium account, fund a matric registration, or back a free course. Any amount, once or every month.
  2. We match it to someone who needs itRecipients are drawn fairly from active members who qualify. Nobody has to beg, and nobody is named in public.
  3. They get to workAI applies for jobs on their behalf, builds their CV and runs interview practice. Learners start their course or register to write.
  4. The proof stays with themCertificates, assessments and results are recorded on their Job Seeker Passport, where an employer can verify them.

How we work

Help, given with dignity.

Being helped should never cost someone their privacy or their pride. These are the rules we hold ourselves to.

Chosen fairly

Recipients are drawn at random from members who qualify and are actively looking. No queue jumping, no favours.

Private by default

Sponsors are never told who received their help, and members are never asked to perform their hardship for an audience.

Safe to use

Job adverts are moderated, scam patterns are blocked, and documents are stored privately and verified by our team.

Measured honestly

We report what actually happened: courses finished, exams written, interviews reached. Not vanity numbers.

The things people ask us.

Who qualifies for help?

Members who are actively looking for work and cannot afford Premium or the training they need. For the Matric Completion Fund, members whose job matches are being blocked by an incomplete matric are first in line.

How are recipients chosen?

At random, from everyone who qualifies and is active on the platform. It is deliberately not a popularity contest and there is no application form to fill in for sponsored Premium.

Will I know who I helped?

No. Recipients stay anonymous, and you will receive aggregate numbers instead. If you leave a message with your sponsorship, the person who receives it will see it.

Can my company get a tax certificate?

Get in touch and we will work through the structure with your finance team. SPAAN NOW operates under a registered non-profit parent organisation.

Does a sponsored member ever pay anything?

Never. Sponsored access is free for the whole sponsored period, and the core platform stays free afterwards.
