About the role
As a Wellness Assistant at Clicks Vredenburg, you will be the friendly face customers turn to for guidance on healthcare, nutrition and supplement products. Your main focus will be delivering excellent service while keeping the wellness aisle stocked, tidy and appealing.
Day to day you will consult with customers, recommend suitable products, and use cross selling and upselling to meet healthcare sales targets. You will also manage stock rotation, prevent wastage and losses, and follow all store operating procedures and merchandising guidelines.
To succeed in this role you need solid product knowledge, strong selling skills and a genuine passion for customer care. You will also be expected to keep learning about new products and share that knowledge with relief staff to maintain service standards.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) with 50% in English, 50% in Maths or 60% in Maths Literacy, and a pass in Physical Science or Life Science
- At least 1 year of related experience in a retail or customer service environment
- Customer related training and proven selling skills
- Basic knowledge of retail store operations including stock management, merchandising and risk management
- Good communication and interaction skills
- Customer and service orientation
- Merchandising skills
- Basic computer literacy is advantageous
- Experience with sports nutrition or vitamin products is preferred
- A sports, fitness or nutrition qualification would be beneficial
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by being visible and proactive in responding to customer needs
- Consult with customers and give suitable advice on healthcare, nutritional and supplement products
- Drive healthcare sales through cross selling and upselling a broad range of brands
- Ensure stock availability in the healthcare aisles by following stock management principles
- Prevent wastage by adhering to stock rotation principles
- Prevent stock losses by following all risk management policies
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the store
- Implement product merchandising according to store guidelines
- Adhere to all store standard operating procedures
- Focus on personal development and product knowledge, and share information with relief staff
