Overview

FNB is hiring a Universal Advisor for their Jacobsdal branch. You will help walk-in customers with banking products, transactions, and digital channels while working in a fast-paced branch environment. This full-time sales and service role is perfect for someone with 1 to 3 years of customer-facing experience who enjoys helping people and solving problems. Grade 12 is required.

About the role

As a Universal Advisor in FNB's Points of Presence team, you will be the friendly face that customers see when they walk into the Jacobsdal branch. Your main goal is to give every person a positive experience by listening to their needs and guiding them to the right banking solutions.

Day to day, you will engage with walk-in and existing customers, help them with transactions, and show them how to use digital and self-service platforms that make their banking easier. You will also identify opportunities to cross-sell products that genuinely fit what the customer needs, manage leads and referrals, and follow up within agreed timeframes.

Compliance is a big part of this role, so you will need to stay on top of FAIS, FICA, and Treating Customers Fairly principles while keeping accurate customer records. The branch can get busy, so being organised, ethical, and calm under pressure will serve you well.

Application note: Applications must be submitted before the closing date of 09/11/26. Late applications will not be accepted. You will apply through FNB's official recruitment portal.

Success Guide

This is a great entry point into banking if you enjoy working with people face to face. FNB looks for advisors who can balance sales targets with genuine customer care, so when you prepare for an interview, think of real examples where you helped someone solve a problem or explained something clearly. Brush up on FAIS and FICA basics, since compliance comes up often in banking interviews. Also be ready to talk about how you would handle a busy branch and a queue of impatient customers. Your Grade 12 certificate and any customer service experience are key, so highlight them clearly in your CV. Apply early through the FNB portal before 9 November 2026 to avoid missing out.
