If you have a background in HR or Learning and Development and enjoy building strong client relationships, this full time role could be a great next step in your career.
About the role
Labournet is hiring a Training Management Specialist to join their team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be the key link between clients, training providers, and SETAs, making sure that training plans are not only put in place but also compliant and properly funded.
Your day to day will involve working closely with clients to understand their training needs, helping them access mandatory and discretionary grants, and overseeing the implementation of learnerships and other accredited programmes. You will also manage your own diary, visit clients, and keep all your documents uploaded and up to date on the company system.
You will be responsible for developing Workplace Skills Plans, submitting WSPs and ATRs to the relevant SETA, and making sure that all training related spending and record keeping is on point. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and third party providers is a big part of the job, as this helps open doors to new business opportunities.
To succeed here, you will need to be organised, client focused, and confident in your knowledge of SETA requirements and skills development legislation. Labournet values continuous learning, so you will also be expected to keep your own skills sharp and take part in developmental activities.

If you are looking at this Training Management Specialist role at Labournet, think about what makes you stand out in the skills development space. This is a great fit if you have a real interest in helping businesses get their training compliance sorted. When you apply, make sure your CV clearly shows any experience you have with WSP and ATR submissions, SETA interactions, or learnership coordination because those are the things they really care about.
During an interview, expect questions about how you would handle a client whose training plan is not meeting their sector skills plan. They will also want to see that you are organised and comfortable managing your own schedule. Brush up on the latest SETA requirements and be ready to talk about how you build trust with clients.
