About the role
As a Trading Systems Analyst at Belay Talent Solutions, you will be based in Sandton and support the trading systems that keep Global Markets running smoothly. Your main focus will be maintaining a stable production environment for trading, treasury and related business teams while finding ways to improve how those systems work.
You will bridge the gap between business and technology, which means you will spend your days analysing requirements, troubleshooting issues, managing changes and implementing solutions that make trading operations more efficient. You will work closely with teams across Trading, Treasury, Operations, Finance and Risk.
Key parts of the role include supporting market facing systems, monitoring performance, handling incidents and problem resolution, ensuring regulatory and security compliance, and doing data analysis using SQL. You will also train users and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.
Requirements
- BSc in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Engineering or Statistics, or BCom in Information Systems, Finance or Investments, or BTech in IT, Engineering, Mathematics or Business Analytics
- A relevant postgraduate qualification would be advantageous
- Minimum 3 years experience supporting trading systems
- Exposure to financial markets, treasury or trading environments
- Strong SQL and data analysis experience
- Understanding of FX, Money Markets and financial instruments
- Experience interacting with multiple business stakeholders
- Technical skills in trading systems support, data analysis, governance, risk and controls
- Project management, business analysis, incident and change management skills
- Stakeholder management abilities
