About the role
Are you a trade tested diesel technician who takes pride in keeping heavy trucks on the road? The Recruitment Guy is hiring experienced technicians for structured commercial vehicle workshop operations in Midvaal, Gauteng. These are new permanent positions created due to ongoing expansion.
- Perform diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles including extra heavy trucks, HMV and MMV.
- Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical and technical faults accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain quality workmanship and workshop productivity while following job card, safety and workshop procedures.
- Keep accurate technical and service records.
- Work closely with workshop management and fellow technicians.
- Assist with field service, call outs, breakdown support and standby requirements where applicable.

Requirements
- Trade Tested Diesel Mechanic or Diesel Technician qualification
- Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant post trade experience
- Experience in a structured commercial vehicle dealership or equivalent professional workshop environment
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic capability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team
- Good communication skills and a professional work ethic
- Experience with established commercial vehicle brands
- Service centre, fleet or dealership workshop experience with formal service and repair procedures
- Field service, call outs, breakdowns, standby and workshop exposure
- Code EC or Code 14 driver's licence
- Own basic tools where required
- Traceable and contactable references
- Local residency or willingness to relocate to Midvaal

- Perform diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles including extra heavy trucks, HMV and MMV

- Complete repairs accurately and efficiently according to required manufacturer OEM standards
- Maintain quality workmanship and workshop productivity
- Follow job card, safety and workshop procedures
- Maintain accurate technical and service records

- Assist with additional workshop duties, breakdown support or standby requirements where applicable
