About the role
Our client in the FMCG sector is seeking a qualified Trade Tested Electrician (Red Seal) to join their maintenance team in Mobeni. This role is critical to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment within a fast paced production environment. You will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and work closely with production and engineering teams.
What you will be doing:
- Install, repair and maintain electrical systems, machinery and equipment according to safety standards and electrical codes.
- Carry out preventative maintenance routines to keep systems reliable and extend equipment lifespan.
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues and find root causes.
- Inspect circuits and equipment regularly to identify hazards or malfunctions.
- Respond quickly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
- Work with both light and heavy current systems, applying your knowledge of PLCs and VSDs/VFDs.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff, engineers and production teams to maintain seamless operations.
Working hours: Day shift runs from 07h30 to 17h00. Night shift runs from 18h00 to 06h00. You may be required to work shifts including evenings, weekends and overtime.

- Trade Tested Electrician (Red Seal) qualification
- Minimum 2 years experience in an FMCG environment
- At least 1 year experience with VSD/VFD systems
