About the role
This is a permanent, on-site role based in Bloemfontein for a Technical Sales Specialist focusing on low voltage (LV) residential, commercial and agricultural Solar PV Solutions. You will be part of a team that helps clients transition to solar energy with practical, technical sales support.
You can expect to spend your time developing new business, working with clients to understand their energy needs, and providing technical advice on solar PV systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and mechanical structures. The role involves travel to client sites and requires a solid understanding of LV solar applications.
Please note: This position is open to South African citizens only. Full bilingual proficiency in Afrikaans and English is non-negotiable. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are essential.
Requirements
- Proven external technical sales experience in PV, BESS and agricultural solar solutions, including new business development, in LV.
- Good technical knowledge of solar PV (PV design experience beneficial), BESS and mechanical structures for solar PV for LV applications.
- Successful Matric (Grade 12); electrical or mechanical qualification may be beneficial.
- Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English (written and oral) - non-negotiable.
- Valid driver's license.
- South African citizens only.
- Willing and able to travel.
- Computer literate with MS Excel (intermediate to advanced).
Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities in LV residential, commercial and agricultural solar PV solutions.
- Provide technical sales support and advice on solar PV, BESS and mechanical structures.
- Conduct client site visits and travel as required.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients in the agricultural and commercial sectors.
- Prepare and present sales proposals using MS Excel and other tools.
- Collaborate with the technical team to ensure accurate system design and quotations.
