Success Guide

For this technical sales role, you will need to show that you understand electrical products and can build strong relationships with clients. When preparing your CV, highlight any electrical or technical sales experience, even if it was part of a learnership or short term contract. Be ready to discuss how you have achieved sales targets in the past and give examples of how you turned a new contact into a long term customer. If you have a technical qualification, mention it, but also focus on your people skills and ability to explain products clearly. The interview might include a role play where you have to sell a product to a difficult customer, so practice your pitch. Also, be prepared to talk about how you stay organised with admin and follow ups, as this role involves a lot of client communication and reporting.
