JD Sports at Canal Walk is looking for a Stockroom Associate to keep their store running smoothly. You will manage stock movements, keep the stockroom organised, and make sure products reach the sales floor on time. About the role
As a Stockroom Associate at JD Sports in Canal Walk, you will be the backbone of the store's stock operations. Your main focus will be receiving and dispatching stock, processing it within set time frames, and making sure it rotates efficiently from the stockroom to the sales floor.
You will also give feedback to management about stock issues and movements, help drive the ultimate customer experience, and support the store in meeting its sales targets. Keeping the stockroom neat and maintaining world class housekeeping standards will be part of your daily routine, along with managing shrinkage in line with company standards.
This is a full time position that requires flexibility, including weekends and evening shifts, to meet the needs of the business.
Requirements
- Grade 12 qualification or equivalent
- Retail experience is essential
- 2 years of stockroom experience is advantageous
- Hospitality background is advantageous
- A customer centric attitude and approach
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to give direction to the stockroom team
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evening shifts
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- High level of attention to detail
