Nedbank is looking for an experienced talent acquisition specialist to own end to end recruitment for a dedicated business cluster in Johannesburg. You will partner with line managers, build talent pipelines and use data driven insights to attract and secure top talent. About the role
As a Specialist Recruiter at Nedbank, you will take full ownership of the talent acquisition process for an allocated client segment. You will work closely with business leaders and HR partners to understand hiring needs and deliver quality hires on time and within budget.
Your day to day will involve:
- Developing and executing recruitment strategies and sourcing plans aligned with business needs and diversity priorities
- Building talent pipelines ahead of demand and managing vacancies from approval to onboarding
- Providing advisory support and coaching to line managers throughout the hiring process
- Using talent intelligence and market insight to attract both active and passive candidates
- Overseeing assessment, screening and selection to ensure a fair and consistent candidate experience
- Managing offer negotiation and onboarding activities, including document management and welcome processes
- Staying informed on talent acquisition trends and using data to improve hiring outcomes
- Collaborating with reward, shared services, finance and risk teams to ensure compliant processes
- Participating in agile delivery teams and contributing to talent acquisition projects

Requirements
- Professional qualification or Honours Degree at NQF level
- At least five years of experience managing all phases of the talent acquisition and hiring process
- Strong knowledge of strategic workforce planning and talent pipelining
- Experience with stakeholder management and business partnering
- Proficiency in sourcing, social sourcing and recruitment marketing
- Understanding of labour market supply and demand and competitor intelligence
- Skills in competency based interviewing and assessment
- Experience with offer negotiation and onboarding
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including LRA, BCEA, EEA and POPIA
- Strong behavioural competencies in integrated planning, innovation, decision making, building trusting relationships and business acumen
Responsibilities
- Own end to end talent acquisition for an allocated client segment, from vacancy approval to onboarding
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies and sourcing plans aligned with business needs and DE&I priorities
- Build talent pipelines ahead of demand and deliver against quality of hire, time to hire and cost of hire targets
- Partner with line managers to provide advisory support and coaching on attraction and acquisition decisions
- Use talent intelligence to identify, attract and engage active and passive candidates
- Oversee assessment, screening, selection and calibration to ensure a fair and consistent candidate experience
- Manage offer interaction and onboarding, including document management and 30, 60, 90 day touchpoints
- Maintain accurate talent acquisition data and provide dashboards on key metrics such as time to hire and diversity
- Collaborate with internal partners including reward, HR, finance and risk to ensure compliant processes
- Participate in agile delivery teams and contribute to talent acquisition projects and initiatives
