About the role
As a Solution Architect or Engineer, you will design and develop technical solutions for data centre and ICT infrastructure projects. Your focus will be on structured cabling, fibre optic and copper infrastructure, and integrated ICT systems that meet client needs and industry standards.
Day to day, you can expect to interpret client requirements and translate them into detailed designs, technical drawings, specs and bills of quantities. You will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers, provide technical support during tendering and installation, and make sure designs stay compliant and cost effective throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology or a related technical discipline
- RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification is essential
- Proven experience in ICT infrastructure and structured cabling design
- Strong technical knowledge of structured cabling systems, including fibre optic and copper
- Strong technical knowledge of data centre infrastructure and connectivity
- Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications and network infrastructure
- Strong technical knowledge of ICT infrastructure design and integration
Responsibilities
- Design and develop technical solutions for data centre and ICT infrastructure projects
- Develop structured cabling designs, including fibre optic and copper cabling infrastructure
- Provide technical expertise on data centre infrastructure, network connectivity and integrated systems
- Interpret client requirements and translate them into detailed technical solutions and specifications
- Prepare technical drawings, layouts, specifications, bills of quantities (BOQs) and design documentation
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations and best practices
- Evaluate technical solutions, products and equipment for suitability and compliance with project requirements
- Work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal project teams
- Provide technical support during tendering, costing, installation and project implementation
- Conduct technical reviews and ensure design integrity throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with technical presentations and client engagements as required
- Keep up to date with industry developments, technologies and infrastructure design standards
