About the role
As a Software Engineer at Namocorp, you will be involved in the full software development life cycle, from gathering user requirements to deploying and maintaining high quality software solutions. You will work with a variety of technologies including C#, .NET, JavaScript, and SQL, and have the freedom to suggest new tools and solutions.
Duties include:
- Execute full SDLC
- Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components
- Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation
- Write well designed, testable code
- Integrate software components into a fully functional system
- Develop verification plans and QA procedures
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
- Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback
- Comply with project plans and industry standards
- Work closely with cross functional teams
Note: Must be a South African citizen or Permanent Resident.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree in Software Engineering
- 1 to 6 years professional work experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer
- Proficiency in C#, .NET and .NET Core, Entity Framework / EF Core, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET, SQL, and REST web services
- Ability to document technical requirements and specifications
- Ability to learn new languages and research modern technologies
- Ability to provide in depth evaluation of complex technological issues
- Ability to articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices and SDLC
- Knowledge of common architectural design patterns
- Understanding of security and data protection (preferable)
- Exposure to Agile development team and practices
- Experience with desktop and web applications, server, and cloud based technologies
- Proficiency with Git / Azure DevOps / TFS
- Experience with IIS Web servers or similar
- Must be a South African citizen or Permanent Resident
- Excellent analytical, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate about Software Development and Technology
- Focused, dedicated, committed, and takes ownership of deliverables
- Team player and able to work unsupervised
