Software Development Project Manager (JMR Software)
JMR Software · Gauteng and Western Cape
Overview
JMR Software is looking for a Software Development Project Manager to lead software projects from planning through to delivery and closure. You will manage one complex project or several smaller ones across Gauteng and the Western Cape on a fixed term basis. If you have at least 4 years of project management experience with 2 years in software delivery and you enjoy keeping teams and stakeholders aligned, this role is worth a look.
About the role
As a Software Development Project Manager at JMR Software, you will take ownership of assigned software projects from the initial planning and costing stages all the way through delivery, release and closure. You will be the person who keeps the full project picture in view, coordinates the delivery team and makes sure stakeholders stay informed about progress.
Your days will involve agreeing on scope and deliverables with clients and the delivery team, building realistic project plans with clear milestones and dependencies, and coordinating work across analysis, design, development, testing and release. You will facilitate estimates, prepare costings and work orders, monitor budgets and forecasts, and make sure project records in tools like Jira and Project Insight are always current. You will also run status meetings that produce clear decisions and owners, manage risks and issues, and escalate when delivery is at risk.
Application note: This is a fixed term, temporary full time position based in Gauteng and the Western Cape. The listing does not include specific application instructions, so apply through the original PNet listing.
