Overview
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa is looking for a hands-on Site Artisan to keep their facilities in top shape. You will handle civil, structural, and building repairs, from brickwork and paving to waterproofing and roofing. About the role
As a Site Artisan at Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa, you will be responsible for preventive and reactive maintenance of site infrastructure. Your day to day work will include executing civil, structural, and building repairs, conducting fault finding, and performing root cause analysis on recurring issues. You will use maintenance tools and equipment, plan your work using job cards, and ensure all tasks meet quality and environmental standards.
You will collaborate with internal teams and external contractors, assist with supervising contractor work, and participate in cross functional meetings to resolve maintenance issues. Safety is a top priority, so you will follow all health, safety, and environmental policies, participate in risk assessments, and use appropriate PPE at all times.

Requirements
- Minimum N4 to N6 in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or a related technical field.
- Trade Test as an Artisan (e.g., Builder, Bricklayer, Civil Artisan) is preferred.
- Health and Safety certification is advantageous.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in site, facilities, or civil maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with structural repair, bricklaying, waterproofing, or basic carpentry.
- Familiarity with working in a safety critical and GMP environment.
- Proficient in building and civil maintenance techniques.
- Ability to use hand and power tools for construction and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and work instructions.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and permit to work systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems such as SAP PM.
- Problem solving and fault diagnosis skills for infrastructure repairs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong time management and task prioritization abilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and ad hoc maintenance on site infrastructure including roads, drainage, fences, roofing, walls, doors, windows, and floors.
- Conduct inspections and repairs to structural elements to maintain safety and usability.
- Execute minor civil works such as brickwork, concrete patching, paving repair, and waterproofing.
- Complete maintenance tasks as per job cards issued through CMMS.
- Record maintenance actions, parts used, and time spent for each job.
- Report any abnormalities or structural risks immediately to the Team Leader.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and site rules.
- Follow safe work procedures and use appropriate PPE at all times.
- Participate in risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Worker: Site to complete larger tasks collaboratively.
- Assist with supervision and quality assurance of contractor work on infrastructure projects.
- Participate in cross functional meetings to raise and resolve site maintenance issues.
- Identify areas for improvement in site infrastructure and propose maintenance or upgrade plans.
- Apply basic root cause analysis to repetitive structural issues.
- Support plant readiness for audits and inspections by ensuring work areas and site assets are audit compliant.
