About the role
Join the Clicks team at Magwa Crescent in Midrand as a Shop Assistant and Cashier. You will be the face of the store, making sure every customer feels welcome and leaves happy. Your day to day will involve working the point of sale, handling cash safely and accurately, and helping customers find what they need. You will also promote the Clicks clubcard, tell shoppers about current promotions and keep shelves looking neat and appealing.
This is a hands on role in a busy retail environment. You will need to be comfortable standing for most of the day, working with numbers and interacting with a wide range of customers. Full training on store systems and product knowledge will be provided, so a willingness to learn is more important than lots of experience.

Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) is essential
- Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level is desirable
- Experience in a customer facing role within retail or FMCG is desirable
- Basic maths calculations

- Execute point of sale operational activities efficiently and on time
- Scan merchandise accurately and collect payment for goods purchased
- Action clubcard rewards and promote the Clicks clubcard to new members

- Make customers aware of promotions to positively affect sales
- Deliver superior customer service as a brand ambassador
- Maintain merchandising and general housekeeping according to store and visual merchandise standards
- Keep up to date with product ranges, promotions and events
