About the role
As a Shaft Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing accurate surveying support for shaft operations at a leading mining client in Limpopo. You will work closely with the mining team to ensure precise measurement and mapping of underground workings.
Key duties include:
- Conducting shaft surveys and maintaining accurate survey records
- Using CAD software such as Mine Cad, MineRP CAD, Autodesk, or Microstation to produce survey plans
- Processing point cloud data using tools like Cyclone 3DR, Infinity, Trimble Realworks, or Leica Infinity
- Collaborating with senior surveyors and mining engineers to support operational planning
- Ensuring compliance with mine surveying standards and safety regulations

Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Mining Survey or Mineral Resource Management or related discipline
- Mine Surveyor's Certificate of Competency (South Africa)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Mine surveying with at least 3 years' in a Senior Surveying position
- Proficiency in CAD Software (i.e. Mine Cad, MineRP CAD, Autodesk, Microstation)
- Experience in Point Cloud processing Software (i.e. Cyclone 3DR, Infinity, Trimble Realworks, Leica Infinity etc)
- Professional membership with SAGC and/or IMSSA
