About the role
This is a hands-on supervisory role in a fabric workshop that produces curtaining and other household decorative items. You will oversee a team of junior seamstresses, providing mentorship and training while managing quality control and production targets.
Key duties include:
- Supervising and assisting with the sewing and production of curtaining and home decor items
- Interpreting patterns and managing the measuring and cutting process
- Delegating duties and driving production targets and deadlines
- Maintaining quality control and managing inventory
Please note: The successful candidate must be available to start immediately and be able to work in Pretoria.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in sewing and operating different types of sewing machines
- Knowledge of various sewing techniques
- Knowledge of blind and other types of stitching
- In-depth knowledge of various types of fabrics
- Keen eye for detail
- Proven experience in a team leader or supervisor capacity
- Must be able to start immediately
- Must be able to work in Pretoria
