RareCruit is looking for a Service Charge Partner in Cape Town to take charge of the financial health of a property portfolio. You will lead budgeting, service charges, arrears management, forecasting and financial governance. About the role
As a Service Charge Partner, you will own the financial health of the portfolio and provide leadership across budgeting, service charges, arrears management, forecasting and financial governance. You will ensure clients have confidence in how their funds are managed and that financial decisions are backed by accurate information and proper controls.
You will support operational delivery by making sure budgets are realistic, expenditure is well understood, reserves are planned properly and financial risks are identified early. This role is central to client confidence because poor financial management quickly becomes a service, relationship and reputational risk.
Key focus areas include budget production and forecasting, arrears and debt recovery, portfolio financial governance, financial planning and reporting, and financial risk management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial management, budgeting and forecasting
- Strong background in arrears recovery and debt management
- Experience with service charge reporting and client financial updates
- Ability to monitor expenditure, reserves and financial performance
- Knowledge of financial governance and risk management
- Experience with major works funding and reserve fund planning
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to provide financial insight and challenge to colleagues and clients
- Relevant finance or accounting qualification
Responsibilities
- Oversee budget preparation, review and delivery
- Monitor expenditure, reserves and financial performance
- Support service charge reporting and client financial updates
- Drive arrears recovery and debt management activity through the credit control specialist team
- Support major works funding and reserve fund planning
- Provide financial insight and challenge to colleagues and clients
- Identify financial risks and recommend corrective action
- Work with POM and Projects on cost planning and funding implications
- Ensure accurate budgets are delivered on time
- Maintain strong financial controls and governance
