Success Guide

This is a great chance to get your foot in the door with Clicks, one of South Africa's biggest retailers. Since the role is all about the till area and cashiers, think about times you have handled money, solved a customer's problem or kept a team organised. In your CV, highlight any retail or cashier experience, even holiday or part time work, and mention your Grade 12 results, especially Maths and English. If you have a retail or business qualification, make sure that is easy to see too.

In an interview, be ready for questions about how you would handle an unhappy customer, how you keep stock losses low and how you would motivate a team on a busy day. Show that you are reliable, friendly and comfortable working with numbers. Also remember to bring your CV, ID and matric certificate when you apply or go for an interview. Good luck, this could be a solid first step into store management.
