About the role

Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Minimum of 5 years experience in transport, fleet coordination, or a similar operational environment
- 3 year qualification in Logistics, Transport, or a related field
- Knowledge of route planning, fleet management, and Transport Management Systems (TMS)
- Knowledge of the Labour Relations Act (LRA) and the NBCRFLI main agreement
Responsibilities
- Process customer transport orders and bookings accurately and on time
- Plan and allocate loads to company vehicles, drivers, and approved subcontractors
- Optimise vehicle utilisation and route planning for cost effective operations
- Coordinate daily load schedules to meet customer delivery requirements
- Arrange and manage special delivery requests, including purchase order processes
- Track vehicles and shipments, manage delays and breakdowns, and update relevant systems
- Monitor driver timekeeping, on road behaviour, and overtime compliance
- Coordinate on route vehicle breakdowns with mechanics, workshops, and service providers
- Verify and file proof of delivery documentation and other transport documents
- Monitor vehicle service schedules and ensure servicing is completed on time
- Manage fuel and driver costs, including time and attendance
- Meet and improve SLA, process, and activity KPIs
- Perform invoicing on transport files and complete cost reporting
- Prepare operational reports and provide feedback to the manager
