About the role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Developer to contribute to backend and full-stack development within a modern engineering environment. You will be part of a team that values strong development expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities and the smart use of AI tools in the development workflow.
In this role, you will design, develop and maintain robust software solutions, work with technologies like Java, NodeJS, TypeScript and Python, and integrate RESTful APIs. You will also direct AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor as part of the development lifecycle. You will troubleshoot complex technical issues, apply sound software engineering and version-control practices, and work with relational databases. Collaboration with development teams to deliver quality solutions and continuous improvement of processes are key parts of the job.

Requirements
- 8 or more years of solid professional software development experience
- Strong backend and/or full-stack development experience
- Proven expertise in at least one of: Java, NodeJS, TypeScript, Python
- Experience using and directing AI coding agents within a software development workflow
- University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Diligent, proactive and self-motivated approach
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Advantageous skills:
- AWS experience
- Strong RESTful API development knowledge
- Git and version control experience
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL or other relational databases
- Java certification
- AWS certification
