About the role
As a Senior Security Technician with Aviner, you will be the go-to person on site at Waterkloof Estate in Rustenburg. Your day will involve leading installation and maintenance teams, diagnosing tough faults across fibre, electric fencing, access control and CCTV systems, and making sure every job meets compliance and safety standards.

Requirements
- 5+ years relevant industry experience
- Proven experience in fibre splicing, testing and fault finding
- Electric fence installations and compliance
- Access control systems (biometric, card, integration)
- Boom gates and turnstile repairs and installations
- CCTV systems (IP-based)
- Advanced networking skills: VLANs, IP routing, network troubleshooting
- System integration: linking access control, CCTV and alarms
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and network diagrams
- Valid driver's license
- PSIRA registration
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- National Diploma or Trade Test in Electrical Engineering or Electronics (preferred)
- Certified fibre optic technician (splicing and OTDR testing) recommended
- Electric fence installer certification recommended
- Access control system certifications (e.g. Impro, Hikvision, Gallagher) recommended
- Networking certifications (e.g. Cisco CCNA or equivalent) recommended
- Working at heights and safety compliance
