A1L Digital is looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join a leading Telco client in Johannesburg for a 6 to 12 month contract. You will lead end to end procurement for their Fintech function, managing sourcing, negotiations and vendor selection. About the role
Our client in the Telco sector is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist on a contract duration of 6 to 12 months. In this role you will lead end to end procurement activities across the Fintech function, working closely with business units to drive strategy and execution. You will be responsible for managing sourcing, procurement and demand planning activities. This includes leading and executing sourcing and procurement activities such as RFx's, e-auctions, spend analysis, vendor selection and evaluation of commercial submissions. You will also lead negotiations of commercial and contractual terms. The successful candidate must be able to manage activities with minimal follow up and management oversight. You will engage with business units on strategy and execution of procurement activities. This role requires someone who can operate at a high level with both internal and external stakeholders and who has a solid track record of achievement and adding value.
This is a fixed term contract for 6 to 12 months based in Johannesburg Southern Suburbs.
Requirements
- A relevant qualification is a minimum requirement
- A post graduate qualification is an advantage
- At least 5 years of focused procurement and supply chain management experience
- Experience in Technology or Telecommunications categories is required
- Experience in Fintech is a distinct advantage
- Demonstrable experience operating at a high level with internal and external stakeholders
- Solid track record of achievement and adding value
- Ability to manage activities with minimal follow up and management
