About the role
As a Senior Planner for JD Sports at The Foschini Group, you will play a key role in making sure the right stock reaches the right stores at the right time. You will work closely with buying, merchandising and store teams to build and manage plans that support sales and stock targets.
Your day to day work will involve analysing sales data, forecasting stock needs, and adjusting plans as trends change. You will also help mentor junior planners and contribute to the overall planning strategy for the JD Sports brand within TFG.

Requirements
- Proven experience in a planning role, preferably in retail or fashion
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Experience with stock planning, sales forecasting and budgeting
- Ability to work with spreadsheets and planning systems
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Relevant qualification in retail, commerce, supply chain or a related field is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain stock and sales plans for the JD Sports brand
- Analyse sales trends and forecast future stock requirements
- Work with buyers and allocators to ensure stock is distributed correctly across stores
- Monitor stock levels and identify slow moving or overstocked items
- Prepare regular reports on sales, stock and performance for management
- Adjust plans based on seasonal changes, promotions and market trends
- Support and guide junior planners in their daily tasks
- Collaborate with store teams to understand stock needs and customer demand
