A pharmaceutical company in Johannesburg is looking for a seasoned Senior Oracle Business Analyst to work closely with Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams. You will design, implement and support practical Oracle EBS solutions that improve business processes and automation. This is an excellent opportunity if you have a strong Oracle EBS R12 functional background and a solid understanding of supply chain and manufacturing operations.
About the role
Our client in the pharmaceutical industry needs an experienced Senior Oracle Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will work closely with Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to spot opportunities for process improvement and automation, then design and deliver Oracle EBS solutions that are practical, compliant and sustainable.
What you will be doing:
- Analysing business processes and information requirements to identify system needs
- Designing, implementing and supporting Oracle EBS solutions aligned to Supply Chain and Manufacturing operations
- Developing detailed business and functional specifications for system enhancements and automation
- Evaluating existing systems, pinpointing operational shortcomings and implementing effective fixes while protecting data integrity
- Designing and implementing custom applications, system integrations and automated workflows
- Managing system projects from gathering requirements all the way through to delivery
- Maintaining thorough system documentation, business process procedures and technical specifications
- Providing ongoing system support under SLAs and delivering user training to drive adoption
- Ensuring compliance with audit requirements, regulatory standards and GxP processes, including validation documentation, audit trails and change control

Requirements
- BSc in Computer Science, BEng in Industrial Engineering or a relevant qualification
- 10+ years experience in Business or Systems Analysis
- Solid background in Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing
- Proven Oracle EBS R12 functional implementation and support experience
- Knowledge of quality management processes
- Experience across the majority of Oracle modules and business processes
- Working knowledge of SQL for general queries
- Experience integrating ERP and third party systems using interfaces, APIs/web services, EDI and file based integrations
