About the role
Network IT, a well known recruitment agency in the IT space, is hiring a Senior Mobile Developer for an established technology environment in Johannesburg North. What you will do:
- Design, develop and maintain cross platform mobile applications for Android and iOS using React Native and TypeScript.
- Lead technical design and architectural decisions to ensure scalability, performance and maintainability.
- Integrate mobile apps with REST APIs, microservices, backend platforms and third party systems.
- Drive mobile development standards, code reviews and quality assurance.
- Manage application performance, troubleshoot production issues and resolve technical bottlenecks.
- Oversee end to end mobile releases, including build configurations and deployment.
- Mentor and guide developers, contributing to continuous improvement and technical direction.

Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience
- Strong experience with React Native, TypeScript and modern React
- Proven Android and iOS application development experience
- Strong understanding of state management (Redux advantageous)
- Experience with Expo Application Services (EAS) and mobile build pipelines
- C# / .NET development experience
- Solid experience with REST APIs, microservices and third party integrations
- Exposure to message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus or AWS EventBridge
- Cloud experience, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Git version control and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with mobile testing tools, emulators and production debugging
