A well established financial services business is looking for a Senior Manager: Claims to lead and oversee all claims related operations. This is a senior permanent role based in Centurion, Gauteng, ideal for an experienced claims professional with strong leadership, analytical and financial management skills who wants to improve efficiencies and drive operational excellence in a claims environment.
About the role
As the Senior Manager: Claims, you will be accountable for overseeing all claims related operations to improve efficiencies across the business. You will lead a claims team and manage the full claims management process, including handling, verification and validation, investigation, assessment and settlement, litigation, and legal costs assessment and settlement.
You will also be involved in post claim management and settlement, medical bill reviewing, and medical case management. The role requires complex problem identification, solving and decision making, as well as strong financial management and analytical capabilities.
Knowledge of claims management systems, insurance and reinsurance principles, Motor Vehicle Accident legislation, and PFMA will be advantageous in this position.
The successful candidate will play a key role in improving claims operations efficiency and ensuring a strong customer value proposition.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Business Management, Business Administration, or a related qualification
- Post graduate qualification in Business Management or Business Administration (advantageous)
- 9 to 10 years' experience in a Claims Operations environment, of which 3 years must have been at management level
- Advanced knowledge in claims management systems, insurance and reinsurance principles, and Motor Vehicle Accident legislation (advantageous)
- Technical knowledge of claims management processes and systems, including handling, verification and validation, investigation, assessment and settlement, litigation, legal costs assessment and settlement
- Experience with post claim management and settlement, medical bill reviewing, and medical case management
- Strong complex problem identification, solving and decision making skills
- Good financial management skills and strong analytical capabilities
- Knowledge of PFMA
- Customer value proposition understanding
