About the role

DSV South Africa is seeking a Senior Financial Controller for Tax and Compliance to oversee financial controls, tax and statutory compliance for assigned entities across Sub-Saharan Africa. Success Guide

This is a senior role at a global logistics company, so your application needs to show more than just a list of duties. Make sure your CV clearly demonstrates your hands on experience with IFRS, tax returns and SARS engagements. Use specific examples, like the types of entities you have managed or the size of the tax portfolios you have handled. If you have worked across multiple African countries, highlight that prominently, as it is a big advantage here.

During the interview, expect technical questions about IFRS application, tax governance and how you have handled audit findings or compliance gaps. Be ready to talk about how you have improved processes or implemented controls. DSV values practical problem solvers, so bring examples of how you have supported business decisions with sound tax and financial advice.
