TFG is looking for a Senior Finance Systems Manager to lead the optimisation and strategic development of their finance systems landscape. This is a senior role for someone with deep SAP Finance expertise and retail experience who can bridge Finance, Technology and the business. You will drive automation, process improvement and innovation across Central Finance in a large, dynamic retail group.
About the role
As Senior Finance Systems Manager at TFG, you will play a key role in shaping the future of finance systems across Central Finance. You will act as the link between Finance, Technology and the business, making sure systems support operations, improve efficiency and enable growth.
Your day to day will involve leading business analysis and solution design for projects, partnering with IT to deliver system enhancements and upgrades, and driving process optimisation and automation using SAP functionality and other tools. You will also manage relationships with SAP partners and vendors, and communicate progress to senior leadership.
This role suits someone with extensive retail and SAP experience who can identify opportunities for improvement and translate business requirements into practical technology solutions. You will help promote standardisation, simplification and continuous improvement across the finance systems landscape.
Requirements
- Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Information Technology, Finance or a related discipline (essential)
- SAP certification or equivalent practical SAP implementation and support experience (essential)
- Project Management, Agile or Business Analysis certification (desirable)
- Minimum of 10 to 15+ years Finance Systems, ERP or Business Systems experience within a large retail environment (essential)
- Minimum of 8 to 10+ years hands on SAP experience supporting Finance related processes (essential)
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years experience in systems optimisation, business analysis, solution design, integrated delivery and technology enabled transformation (essential)
- Deep functional SAP Finance expertise with strong understanding of end to end finance processes and integration points
- Strong business analysis and solution design capability including requirements gathering, impact assessment and functional specification writing
- Project and portfolio delivery skills including scoping, planning, budgeting, risk and dependency management
- Process optimisation and automation skills including workflow design and identifying opportunities to reduce manual effort
- Systems and data analysis with the ability to translate complex technical detail into practical business outcomes
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills at all levels including senior leadership
- Vendor and partner management experience including managing SAP partners and third party service providers
Responsibilities
- Lead the business analysis and solution design phase of projects by assessing system impacts, processes, dependencies, effort and options, and translating requirements into functional specifications
- Partner with IT to deliver system enhancements, integrations, upgrades and performance improvements
- Drive process optimisation and automation by reducing manual effort through SAP functionality, workflows and supporting technologies
- Promote standardisation, simplification and continuous improvement across Finance Systems
- Ensure projects deliver measurable operational improvements and business value
- Build strong relationships across Finance, IT, Shared Services and the business, collaborating with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers and Infrastructure teams
- Manage relationships with SAP partners and third party vendors
- Communicate progress and strategic priorities to senior leadership
