TCTA is looking for a qualified CA(SA) to lead their finance function in Centurion. About the role
This is a senior finance leadership role where you will take charge of the full financial management function at TCTA. You will be responsible for aligning the finance team with the organisation's growth strategy and making sure financial processes, systems and capacity are ready for new projects.
Your daily work will involve planning and coordinating year end processes, reviewing annual financial statements for compliance, liaising with external auditors and presenting results to EXCO and the Board. You will also manage the annual budget cycle, implement financial models, strengthen internal controls and lead a finance team while creating development opportunities for your staff.

Requirements
- Honours degree and CA(SA) registration as a Chartered Accountant
- Minimum 10 years of financial management and reporting experience in the financial services sector, with treasury exposure preferred
- Minimum 5 years of middle management experience including people management
- Experience with IFRS, especially financial instruments
- Experience preparing annual financial statements
- Expert level budgeting, financial reporting, management accounting, revenue management, cost accounting, audit process management, taxation and financial asset modelling
- Proficient in fixed asset management, debtors and creditors, intercompany accounts, cashflow management, expenditure management and bookkeeping
- Strong strategic thinking, decision making, team leadership, stakeholder relationship management and problem solving skills
- Excellent business writing and oral communication abilities
Responsibilities
- Manage and embed the strategic alignment of the finance team in response to TCTA's growth and development
- Plan, manage and coordinate the year end process with oversight of the full cycle
- Quality review draft annual financial statements for compliance with accounting standards and aim for an unqualified audit opinion
- Liaise with external auditors and resolve audit queries and adjustments
- Present annual financial statements and budgets to EXCO, Board committees and the Board
- Plan and coordinate the annual budget cycle and control the integrity of numbers and variance explanations
- Ensure complete and accurate financial information reaches the CFO, EXCO and relevant committees
- Resolve financial reporting problems, escalate red flags and ensure tax compliance
- Implement and maintain financial models
- Manage, develop and appoint the finance team while creating development opportunities and looking after team well being
- Liaise with internal divisions, external parties and TCTA stakeholders
- Strengthen internal controls and compliance by designing efficient systems and processes
- Prepare lessons learned on completed projects
