About the role
Our client is looking for an experienced senior executive to lead the growth and strategic direction of a Measurement Solutions business serving industrial customers across Southern Africa. You will take responsibility for sales, product management, technical support and service functions related to the measurement portfolio.
The role combines strong technical application knowledge, commercial acumen and executive management experience. You will translate customer and market requirements into engineered measurement solutions, sustainable business growth and improved customer value.
Key areas of focus include:
- Developing and implementing business strategies for sustainable growth across Southern Africa
- Providing technical oversight for pressure, temperature, flow and level measurement solutions
- Leading product strategies, pricing, market development and portfolio expansion
- Driving sales growth, new business development and key account relationships
- Overseeing technical support and service delivery
- Managing budgets, forecasts and financial performance
- Leading, developing and motivating technical and commercial teams

Requirements
- Grade 12
- Management related qualification preferred
- Technical qualification in instrumentation, electrical engineering, process automation or related discipline advantageous
- Trade qualification as Instrumentation Mechanician advantageous
- Minimum 10 years experience in measurement, instrumentation or process automation sales
- At least 5 years experience in a senior management or leadership role
- Strong understanding of pressure, temperature, flow and level measurement and industrial applications
- Proven product management experience including positioning, pricing and market development
- Experience developing and executing business strategies across sales, technical support and service
- Experience managing strategic supplier, manufacturer, distributor and customer relationships
- Strong knowledge of Southern African industrial automation and process industries
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems and business software
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive sustainable growth, profitability and market share across Southern Africa
- Establish business plans, growth initiatives and performance objectives aligned with company strategy
- Identify new markets, industry sectors and applications to expand the measurement solutions portfolio
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements to guide strategic decisions
- Report to the CEO on business performance, opportunities and strategic initiatives
- Provide technical direction for the measurement portfolio including pressure, temperature, flow and level measurement
- Translate customer process requirements into appropriate measurement products and engineered solutions
- Lead product strategies to grow the portfolio, manage positioning, pricing and commercial performance
- Work with strategic technology partners and suppliers on product development and alignment
- Drive sales growth, new business development and market penetration across Southern Africa
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors and channel partners
- Oversee technical support and service activities for the measurement portfolio
- Manage budgeting, financial planning, forecasting and business performance reporting
- Lead, develop and motivate sales, technical, application and service teams
- Identify skills gaps and implement training and development initiatives
