A global logistics company is hiring a hands-on Senior Digitalisation Specialist to drive digital transformation across Sub-Saharan Africa. You will shape regional digital strategy, build Power Platform apps and dashboards, and lead projects from idea to go-live. About the role
Our client, a leading global logistics organisation, is looking for a Senior Digitalisation Specialist to drive digital transformation across the Sub-Saharan Africa region. This role combines strategy and hands-on building. You will develop and implement the regional digital roadmap, programme solutions including dashboards and Microsoft Power Platform apps, and lead digital projects from concept to completion.
You will work closely with country, regional, and global teams to align digital initiatives with business goals. Key duties include analysing market trends, promoting adoption of new technologies, managing stakeholders, and ensuring data integrity and security. You will also lead change management, provide training, and mentor country IT team members.
This is an individual contributor role reporting to the regional Director of Programme Delivery and Digitalisation. The position is based in South Africa and involves regional travel as needed.

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, or a related field
- A programming qualification
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) or digital transformation certification is highly advantageous
- 5 to 7 years of experience in digital transformation, project management, or a related role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform, Python, and SQL
- Proven track record of delivering digital projects successfully
- Strong knowledge of digital technologies, platforms, and tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the regional digital transformation strategy in line with global objectives
- Programme solutions based on business requirements, including dashboards and Power Platform solutions
- Analyse market and digital trends to identify opportunities for innovation and growth
- Work with country, regional, and global teams to keep digital initiatives aligned with business goals
- Lead digitalisation projects from concept to completion, on time and within budget
- Build project plans, set milestones, and track progress
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across IT, marketing, operations, and finance
- Promote the adoption of new technologies and digital tools
- Identify and implement process improvements that lift efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and bring new ideas to the business
- Engage with senior management, regional and functional teams, domain heads, and external partners
- Report clearly on project status, challenges, and successes
- Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners
- Lead change management, including training sessions and workshops on new tools and processes
- Support teams through the move to new digital solutions and help them work through resistance to change
- Mentor and guide country IT team members
- Use data analytics to measure the impact of digital initiatives and produce insights for decision making
- Ensure data integrity and security across all digital projects
- Make sure initiatives comply with regulations and internal policies
- Identify and reduce project risks, including cybersecurity and data privacy risks
