About the role
This role is with an international multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that delivers projects across South Africa, Africa, and Europe. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will lead infrastructure design packages and support project delivery from concept to completion.
You will work in a collaborative environment where you can combine technical design with team leadership, coordinate with colleagues across regions, and contribute to proposals and new business opportunities. The consultancy uses BIM environments and Civil 3D to improve design coordination and efficiency.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional registration with ECSA as a Pr Eng
- Approximately eight or more years of relevant consulting engineering design experience
- Experience in civil infrastructure and site development projects
- Proficiency in relevant design codes, Civil 3D, and BIM-enabled project delivery
- Strong technical judgement and commercial awareness
- Ability to lead teams and collaborate across disciplines and regions
- Willingness to support projects across South Africa, Africa, and Europe
Responsibilities
- Lead civil infrastructure and site development design packages, including bulk earthworks, water, sewer, stormwater, and drainage systems
- Apply sound technical judgement to resolve complex engineering challenges
- Guide project teams and support skills development and knowledge sharing
- Coordinate designs with colleagues across disciplines and regional offices
- Deliver work in BIM environments, using Civil 3D and other engineering software
- Contribute to proposals and work-winning activities
- Maintain design quality while considering commercial objectives and project delivery requirements
