A UK based global mobility company is hiring a Senior Accounts Assistant to work fully remotely from South Africa. You will handle billing, credit control, supplier payments, bank reconciliations and UK VAT compliance for an international business. If you have solid QuickBooks Online experience and want a permanent remote finance role with a salary of R420 000 to R504 000, this could be a great fit.
About the role
Join a UK based international global mobility business as a Senior Accounts Assistant, working fully remotely from South Africa. This is a hands on finance role where you will manage the full accounts function for the UK entity, covering accounts payable, accounts receivable and UK VAT compliance.
You will work closely with external accountants on HMRC requirements and play a key role in improving financial processes, controls and reporting. The role offers a permanent, fully remote opportunity for someone who is comfortable working independently and managing their own workload.

Requirements
- Strong, hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online is essential
- Accounting qualification: Diploma or degree in Accounting
- Practical experience managing and reconciling factoring and invoice discounting arrangements
- Working knowledge of UK VAT and experience preparing supporting records and reports for HMRC
- Broad accounts experience covering billing, credit control, accounts payable and month end
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Responsibilities
- Manage client billing, invoicing, credit control and collection of outstanding payments
- Process supplier invoices, reconcile accounts and prepare payment runs
- Handle bank reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments and month end preparation
- Support UK VAT compliance and liaise with external accountants on HMRC requirements
- Record and reconcile factoring and invoice discounting transactions
- Improve financial processes, controls and reporting
