Network Finance is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing business in Johannesburg North. You will take ownership of VAT reconciliations, prepare management reports, and guide two junior accountants. About the role
This is a hands on Senior Accountant role for someone who is comfortable running key financial processes and reviewing the work of junior team members. You will work closely with the finance team in Johannesburg North, reporting on business performance and making sure compliance and controls stay firmly in place.
What the day to day looks like:
- You will own VAT reconciliations from start to finish, making sure submissions are accurate and on time.
- You will pull together management reports and analyse the numbers so the business can make informed decisions.
- You will review reconciliations, keep financial records in good shape, and maintain strong internal controls.
- You will lead two junior accountants, supporting their development and checking their work where needed.
- You will jump into month end and year end processes to help close the books smoothly.

Requirements
- A degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong experience with VAT reconciliations.
- Proven experience preparing management reports.
- Previous experience supervising or guiding junior staff would be an advantage.
- Strong management reporting and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Sound knowledge of VAT and accounting principles.
- Leadership, communication and team development abilities.
- Strong organisational and problem solving skills.
- Fully on site in Johannesburg North.
