Overview
MultiLead Consulting Services is looking for an SAP Basis Specialist with strong SAP HANA experience to join their Pretoria team. You will support clients with complex system configuration, implementation and ongoing SAP support across diverse technologies. This is a permanent, full time role suited to someone with 5 to 7 years in an SAP Basis environment who enjoys solving technical problems and working directly with clients. Salary is negotiable.
About the role
As an SAP Basis Specialist at MultiLead Consulting Services, you will support clients with high complexity requirement analysis, systems configuration, implementation and support of SAP modules. You will use your consulting skills, business knowledge and SAP solution experience to integrate SAP technology into client environments and help them achieve their business goals.
What you will be doing:
- Working across Production, Quality Assurance, Alpha and RTR environments to support SAP Basis and Core Architecture Platform Technology installation, design, implementation and support.
- Analyzing current business processes and scenarios for clients, then recommending or configuring solutions that meet their needs according to industry best practices.
- Providing technical expertise, presentations and advice on SAP products during implementation projects.
- Troubleshooting and resolving SAP related application problems, mapping client requirements and developing necessary product modifications.
- Handling incident resolution for severity 2 and 3 issues and assisting with business escalations.
- Testing new and current software for acceptance into the production environment.
- Communicating policies and procedures to relevant stakeholders and employees.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Information Technology AND 5 to 7 years experience in an SAP Basis environment, of which 2 to 3 years must be at a technically skilled level. OR a Senior Certificate (NQF 4) AND relevant IT qualification(s) / certification(s), and 5 to 7 years experience in an SAP Basis environment, of which 2 to 3 years must be at a technically skilled level. OR a Senior Certificate (NQF 4) AND 10 years experience in SAP Basis, of which 2 to 3 years at a technically skilled level.
- Must have SAP HANA experience.
- Relevant SAP Basis training or certification.
- Relevant SAP Basis analysis and configuration experience.
- Understanding of a diverse set of technologies including Linux operating system (e.g. RedHat), SAP HANA and Sybase database administration, Single Sign On, Fiori, SAP BTP and other Cloud solutions (e.g. SuccessFactors, ARIBA).
- Broad understanding of all facets of Information Technology including SDLC.
- Experience and knowledge of key integration points between SAP modules.
- Ability to analyze requirements, perform configuration enhancements and testing in various SAP modules such as Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, Revenue Management, Governance, Application Lifecycle Management and cloud solutions.
Responsibilities

- Participate in the cost effective and efficient Production, Quality Assurance, Alpha and RTR environments to support organizational goals through SAP Basis and Core Architecture Platform Technology installation, design, implementation and support.
- Analyze requirements, perform configuration enhancements and testing in various SAP modules such as Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, Revenue Management, Governance, Application Lifecycle Management and cloud solutions.
- Analyze the current business processes and scenarios of the client and recommend or develop solutions to meet the clients needs.
- Support the successful implementation of SAP applications, providing technical expertise, presentation and advice on SAP products to clients.
- Perform in depth analysis of current business processes and scenarios, then recommend or configure solutions according to industry best practices.
- Act as liaison with clients for troubleshooting, investigating, analyzing and solving SAP related application problems and mapping client business requirements, processes and objectives to develop necessary product modifications.
- Resolve severity 2 and 3 incidents and assist with business escalations for raised issues.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the organization and adhere to all organizational standards.
- Communicate and disseminate policy and procedures to relevant stakeholders and employees.
- Test new and current software for acceptance into the production environment.
