About the role
Diplomat South Africa is recruiting a Sales Representative for the Tier 3 Department, based in Gauteng and servicing Pretoria, Soshanguve. You will report to the Area Sales Supervisor and play a key role in implementing the Tier 3, Sub D and Main Market strategy at retail level.
The channel is a must win for the company and its principals, so your work will directly influence how products reach the market. You will be responsible for building and updating the retail outlet database, achieving coverage, sales, numeric distribution and in store communication objectives, and making sure merchandising standards are met.
What you will be doing:
- Consistently achieve coverage, sales, numeric distribution and in store communication targets.
- Execute the trade coverage plan and complete daily administration on time.
- Implement merchandising initiatives according to set standards.
- Manage company resources such as vehicles, POS, merchandising material, stock and your mobile phone.
- Implement promotions when applicable and resolve trade related issues at store level.
- Provide ongoing market intelligence to management.
Application note: This is a permanent, full time position based in Soshanguve. You must live in the area and have your own vehicle and a valid driver's licence to be considered.
Requirements
- Completed Matric or equivalent, accredited by SAQA.
- 1 to 3 years of field sales experience from an informal trade environment.
- Own vehicle and a valid driver's licence.
- Must have met set targets for a defined period.
- Must be a local resident in Pretoria, Soshanguve.
- Basic computer skills in MS Outlook and MS Office.
- Good communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Basic numeric skills.
Responsibilities
- Implement the Tier 3, Sub D and Main Market strategy at retail level.
- Ensure targeted coverage, sales, distribution and retail presence objectives are met.
- Consistently develop and update the retail outlet universe database.
- Achieve coverage, sales, numeric distribution and in store communication objectives.
- Execute the trade coverage plan and complete daily administration tasks on time.
- Implement merchandising initiatives according to determined standards.
- Manage all company resources daily, including vehicles, POS, merchandising material, stock and mobile phone.
- Implement promotions when applicable.
- Field any trade related issues or queries at store level.
- Provide ongoing market intelligence to management.
