When you apply, make sure your CV clearly shows how you have grown sales or kept customers happy in the past. Numbers speak louder than words, so mention any targets you have met or exceeded.
In an interview, expect questions about how you handle rejection, how you build trust with clients and how you stay organised on the road. Food industry knowledge is a bonus but not a deal breaker. Show them you are reliable, self motivated and good with people. Good luck, you have got this!
