Sportscene, part of The Foschini Group, is hiring a Sales Associate for their Rustenburg Plaza store. This is a great entry level opportunity for young South Africans who enjoy fashion and working with people. You will work 120 hours per month on a full time basis, helping customers find what they need and keeping the store looking great. No prior experience needed, just a positive attitude and matric.
About the role
Sportscene, one of South Africa's most loved fashion retailers, is looking for a Sales Associate to join the team at Rustenburg Plaza. As part of The Foschini Group, you will be working in a fast paced retail environment where no two days are the same.
Your main focus will be on giving customers a great shopping experience. This means helping them find the right items, answering questions about products, and making sure they leave happy. You will also help with keeping the store tidy, restocking shelves, and working at the till when needed.
This is a 120 hour per month position, which works out to roughly 30 hours a week. You will need to be available to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as retail stores trade seven days a week.
Requirements
- Matric or Grade 12
- No previous experience required, full training will be provided
- Must be able to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays
- Good communication skills and a friendly attitude
- Must be reliable and able to stand for long periods
- South African ID required
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and help them find products they are looking for
- Provide excellent customer service and answer any questions
- Operate the cash register and handle payments
- Keep the store clean and organised
- Restock shelves and assist with visual merchandising
- Work as part of a team to meet store targets
- Assist with stock takes when required
