Overview
Clicks is hiring a Registered Nursing Practitioner to run and grow a clinic inside their Gardens Centre store in Cape Town. You will deliver primary health care, baby clinics, immunisations and health screenings to customers while building a loyal client base. If you are a SANC registered nurse with at least 3 years of broad nursing experience than this permanent role offers a great mix of patient care, health promotion and commercial clinic management.
About the role
Step into a role where you run your own clinic within a busy Clicks store at Gardens Centre in Cape Town. You will be the go to health professional for customers, offering everything from lifestyle screening tests and well baby clinics to immunisations, reproductive health services, primary health care and phlebotomy services.
Your day to day work will blend hands on patient care with the business side of running a clinic. You will counsel patients on health and weight management, refer them to pharmacists or other professionals when needed, and keep accurate, confidential records on an electronic system. You will also manage stock, handle administration, book locums, and report on finances and clinic performance.
Building relationships matters here. You will grow a loyal client base, build networks with other health professionals, and plan health days and ad hoc projects that boost the clinic's offering to Clicks customers. Managing emergencies and adverse events professionally is also part of the job.

Requirements
- Registered Nursing Practitioner with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- A minimum of 3 years practical experience in a broad range of nursing disciplines
- Experience in Community Health, Primary Health or Midwifery is preferred
- 3 year Diploma in Nursing or 4 year Nursing degree
- Financial and commercial acumen
- Ability to work independently
- Confident and engaging manner with strong customer service orientation
- Proactive with excellent attention to detail
- Computer literacy in MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Strong marketing and selling skills
- Good time management
- Unisolv and Allegra experience is desirable
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a commercially viable clinic that meets SANC regulations and company policies
- Grow a loyal client base by promoting clinic services to Clicks customers and delivering high standards of patient care
- Provide a range of clinic services including lifestyle screening tests, well baby clinics, immunisations, baby health monitoring, reproductive health services, adult immunisations, primary health care for minor ailments and wound care, and phlebotomy services
- Counsel and advise patients on health information and weight management, and refer them to Pharmacists or other health professionals when appropriate
- Keep patient information secure, confidential and accurately maintained on an electronic system, and ensure payment is received for all services rendered
- Run the clinic efficiently through effective administration, booking locums, and accurate financial and stock reporting
- Manage stock to prevent loss and shrinkage, monitor the cold chain and take necessary safety precautions with medical stock
- Build health professional networks to enhance the clinic's commercial viability and service offering to patients
- Plan, coordinate and implement Health Days and other ad hoc projects
- Manage adverse events and emergencies in a professional and effective manner
