About the role
Task Foundry Solutions is hiring a Regional Financial Manager to take charge of the Gauteng finance function for an established company operating in a large scale industrial and manufacturing environment. This is a senior, operationally focused management role where you will oversee the region's accounting and financial operations, ensure strong financial controls, accurate reporting and full compliance with financial policies and procedures.
You will lead, manage and develop a finance team of more than 20 employees, including Financial Controllers, Financial Administrators and Payment Administrators. The role reports to the Group Financial Manager and a Company Director, while also supporting the Financial Director and senior Group Finance leadership based at Head Office in Cape Town.
Day to day, you will review the team's work to ensure transactions are completed accurately and on time, improve financial policies and processes, authorise creditor, expense and COD payments, perform financial analysis and reporting, and strengthen internal financial controls. The ideal person is comfortable managing a sizeable finance function while staying closely involved in the operational detail.

Requirements
- A relevant Finance or Accounting Degree or Diploma
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in finance, accounting or a financial management environment
- Proven experience at Financial Manager level with responsibility for overseeing a finance function
- At least 4 years experience managing and leading a finance team
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, internal controls and financial reporting
- Experience working with established accounting and ERP systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Advantageous: additional accounting qualifications or memberships such as CA(SA), CIMA, SAIPA or equivalent
- Advantageous: experience in manufacturing, production, FMCG, industrial processing, engineering, logistics, mining and metals, automotive, food and beverage, or packaging
- Advantageous: experience managing a sizeable finance team in a complex, multi departmental or regional operation, with exposure to high volume transactions, creditor payments and reconciliations
Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the full accounting and finance function across the Gauteng region
- Lead, manage, mentor and develop the regional finance team, ensuring effective supervision, performance and accountability
- Review and oversee the team's work so that financial transactions and accounting activities are accurate, timely and compliant with procedures and legislation
- Oversee, review and continuously improve financial policies, procedures and operational processes
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness and integrity of financial information and accounting records
- Ensure operational finance processes are consistently implemented, monitored and followed
- Authorise, oversee and review daily creditor, expense and cash on delivery (COD) payments
- Perform financial analysis, reporting and reviews to support regional operations and Group Finance requirements
- Implement, maintain and strengthen internal financial controls to safeguard the finance function
