Success Guide
Hi there! This Absa role is a great fit if you have a maths or stats honours degree and solid SAS skills. When you apply, make your CV stand out by clearly showing any SAS projects you have worked on, especially anything related to credit models or IFRS9. In interviews, be ready to explain how you approach model building and how you would explain complex results to non technical colleagues. Absa values good communication as much as technical ability, so prepare examples of working with different teams. Also, read up on the basics of model risk governance because they will likely ask how you ensure your models are compliant. Take your time with the application and double check that you meet the 1 to 5 years experience requirement. Good luck, you have got this!
