Overview

A well established industrial manufacturing plant in Limpopo is looking for a trade tested Boilermaker with 3 to 5 years of post trade experience. You will fabricate, assemble and repair structural steel components, work from technical drawings and handle MIG, TIG and Stick welding in a fast paced production environment. This is a full time on site role for a reliable artisan who takes pride in precision work and safety.

About the role

This role is based at a busy industrial manufacturing operation in Limpopo. As a Boilermaker, you will be hands on with structural steel fabrication, assembly, maintenance and repairs across plant equipment and mechanical systems. You will work from technical drawings and blueprints to build and install items such as conveyors, platforms and trolleys, and you will tackle complex shapes like square to round and lobster back components.

The day to day work includes measuring, marking, cutting and fitting materials to tight tolerances, constructing jigs, preparing surfaces before welding, and inspecting finished work for defects. You will also maintain and repair plant machinery, use hand tools, power tools, cutting torches and measuring instruments safely, and support standby and overtime when the operation needs it.

Success Guide

This is a solid opportunity if you are a qualified Boilermaker looking for steady workshop and plant work in Limpopo. When you apply, make your trade test certificate and your 3 to 5 years of post trade experience impossible to miss on your CV. List the welding processes you are comfortable with, like MIG, TIG and Stick, and mention any exposure to conveyors, boilers or steam systems because the employer sees that as a plus. Be ready to talk through reading drawings and building complex shapes such as square to round or lobster back work. In an interview, expect questions about safety around cutting torches and power tools, how you check your own work for defects, and how you handle standby and overtime. A clean, short CV with your licence and own transport clearly noted will help you stand out for this one.
