Requirements
- Relevant IT, Computer Science, or Software Engineering qualification and experience
- Strong Python development experience
- Strong Django framework experience
- Experience building, maintaining, and deploying scalable web applications
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Strong SQL and database development experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
- Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software design principles
- Experience with Git and version control systems
- Experience with unit testing and automated testing frameworks
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Docker and containerisation technologies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Advantageous: experience with AI and Machine Learning solutions
- Advantageous: experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI platforms
- Advantageous: experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or similar technologies
- Advantageous: experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or AI orchestration frameworks
- Advantageous: experience with FastAPI and modern Python frameworks
- Advantageous: experience with MLOps and model deployment
- Advantageous: experience developing AI-powered applications, chatbots, copilots, and intelligent automation solutions
- Advantageous: experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
- Advantageous: experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, or FAISS
- Advantageous: experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Advantageous: experience with microservices architecture
- Advantageous: experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native deployments
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Python and Django
- Build and consume RESTful APIs
- Design and manage SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
- Apply object-oriented programming and software design principles
- Use Git for version control and collaborate in Agile or Scrum teams
- Write unit tests and automated tests
- Deploy applications on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
- Containerise applications using Docker
- Work on AI and machine learning solutions when applicable
