Success Guide
This is a senior role at one of South Africa's most important institutions, so your application needs to show depth. When you apply through the SARB portal, tailor your CV to highlight the size and complexity of the programmes you have supported, not just a list of duties. Be ready to talk about how you built or improved a controls framework, how you worked with audit and risk teams, and how you handled financial and procurement controls. The interview panel will likely probe your understanding of governance in a public entity, so brush up on SARB's mandate and the principles behind programme controls. Also note that the bank gives preference to candidates from designated groups, so if that applies to you, mention it where relevant. Take your time with the online form and double check your degree certificates are attached.
