You will oversee the making of high-quality furniture frames, keep production targets on track, and coach your team to do their best work. About the role
As the Production Supervisor for frame making at Coricraft, you will be at the heart of the factory floor, making sure furniture frames are built right, on time, and to the quality standards Coricraft is known for. You will lead a team, keep an eye on workflows, and step in when things slow down so that production schedules stay on track.
You can expect to:
- Supervise and coordinate daily frame making activities to hit production targets
- Motivate and manage your team to keep productivity high
- Check that frames match approved specs and quality standards
- Allocate resources and fix bottlenecks to keep things flowing
- Carry out quality inspections and take corrective action where needed
- Make sure health, safety, and housekeeping standards are followed
- Handle attendance, discipline, performance, and training for your team
- Keep material usage efficient and reduce waste
- Work closely with Production Planning, Upholstery, Assembly, and Maintenance teams
- Make sure machinery and tools are used correctly and maintained
- Drive continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and operations
- Keep accurate production records and give regular feedback on performance
You may need to work overtime, shifts, and weekends when required.
Requirements
- Grade 10
- 3 to 5 years experience in furniture manufacturing, frame assembly, or a related production environment
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or team leader role
- Experience managing production outputs, quality standards, and productivity targets
- Experience in employee supervision, coaching, and performance management
- Sound knowledge of furniture assembly processes, timber components, and manufacturing techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and production schedules
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements in a manufacturing environment
- Good problem solving and decision making skills
- Computer literacy, with Microsoft Office being advantageous
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage performance, resolve conflict, and promote accountability

Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all frame making activities to achieve daily production targets
- Lead, motivate, and manage the frame making team to maintain high productivity and performance
- Ensure furniture frames are manufactured according to approved specifications, quality standards, and production schedules
- Monitor workflow, allocate resources, and address production bottlenecks to optimise efficiency
- Conduct regular quality inspections and implement corrective actions where required
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and housekeeping standards within the department
- Manage attendance, discipline, performance, and training of team members
- Monitor material usage and minimise waste to support cost effective manufacturing
- Liaise with Production Planning, Upholstery, Assembly, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure machinery, tools, and equipment are used correctly and maintained in good working condition
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and operational performance
- Maintain accurate production records and provide regular feedback on departmental performance
