Overview
Hire Resolve is looking for a Procurement Officer with civil engineering or procurement qualifications to work in the UAE. If you have over 5 years of procurement experience in UAE construction, especially in road, highway and utility projects, this role offers a chance to work on major infrastructure developments. You will use your knowledge of local suppliers and materials to keep projects moving. The salary is between R900 000 and R1 100 000 per year.
About the role
Our client is urgently seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join their team in the UAE. You will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials for large infrastructure projects, including roads, highways and utilities.
The role involves working closely with suppliers and project teams to ensure that materials such as asphalt, aggregates, road marking products, drainage materials, concrete, geotextiles, reinforcement steel and pipes are delivered on time and meet technical specifications. You will need to verify specifications and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Procurement
- 5 or more years of procurement experience in UAE construction, particularly infrastructure, road, highway or utility projects
- Strong knowledge of UAE suppliers and materials markets
- Experience with technical specification verification
- Procurement experience with asphalt and bituminous products, aggregates, road marking and safety products, drainage and utility materials, concrete and precast elements, geotextiles, reinforcement steel, pipes and fittings
Responsibilities
- Source and procure materials for infrastructure projects, including roads, highways and utilities
- Verify technical specifications of materials against project requirements
- Manage relationships with UAE suppliers and negotiate favourable terms
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites
- Keep up to date with market trends and material costs in the UAE
