About the role
C3 Resources Investments is looking for a capable Process Engineer to join their Process Engineering Department in Centurion, Gauteng. This is an office based, permanent full time position with a salary of R30 000 to R45 000 per month CTC, negotiable based on experience.
You will be part of a leading multidisciplinary engineering company that delivers advanced process engineering solutions across mining, metallurgical, chemical, energy and industrial sectors. Projects span South Africa and international markets, giving you exposure to technically challenging process plant engineering work.
The role involves developing practical, cost effective process engineering solutions from initial design and process modelling through to commissioning and testing. You will work on multidisciplinary engineering projects, technical problem solving and project execution.
Key duties include:
- Developing mass and energy balances, process calculations and equipment specifications
- Preparing BFDs, PFDs, P&IDs, control philosophies and process design reports
- Performing process modelling, simulations and equipment sizing calculations
- Preparing technical specifications, cost estimates and tender documentation
- Determining utility requirements, insulation and heating specifications
- Participating in design reviews, HAZOPs and other process safety studies
- Supporting plant inspections, commissioning, testing and performance evaluations
- Preparing operating procedures and technical documentation
- Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and providing guidance to junior engineers
- Taking responsibility for assigned process engineering deliverables and smaller projects

Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering from a recognised institution
- 3 to 5 years of relevant process engineering experience
- Experience in chemical processing, metallurgy, mining, gas cleaning or related process industries
- Sound understanding of mass and energy balances, process equipment and engineering design documentation
- Experience with process simulation and design calculations
- Exposure to PFDs, P&IDs, HAZOP studies and commissioning activities
- Strong analytical, technical and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary project teams
