About the role
As a Powder Coating Operator, you will be responsible for getting metal parts ready for coating and then applying the powder coat correctly. You will spend your day cleaning, degreasing, sanding, blasting and masking parts before coating. Once parts are coated, you will load and monitor the curing ovens, checking temperature and timing. After that, you will inspect the finish for colour, coverage and curing quality, and do touch ups or rework where needed. Keeping your equipment and work area clean and safe is also part of the job.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Powder Coating Operator
- Experience with powder coating spray equipment and curing ovens
- Knowledge of surface preparation and powder coating processes
- Ability to identify coating defects and maintain quality standards
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Able to work accurately in a production environment
Responsibilities
